The Wells Foundation
The Wells Foundation Website
Logo and website design for the Wells Family Foundation. The foundation did not have a logo or website and was looking to further communicate their mission, core values, services and resources for the community in digital format.
The Wells Foundation is a private family foundation focused on supporting social entrepreneurship and leadership development in the nonprofit sector.

Research & Inspiration
Looked at other foundation webpages for inspiration. Worked with the foundation team to determine what were the main characteristics that they would like their website to convey. After multiple conversations and learning more about their audience, some of the main insights to be considered were:
- We want to show that we work directly with people from our community in a personal, personable way
- We are community servants: Very open, receptive and responsive. Take all (most) meetings
- We want to be helpful
- We have a problem-solver mentality
- We are innovative, creative and entrepreneurial
- We have a partnership orientation
The main content to be included in the website was provided by the foundation. I developed a sitemap to organize how content could be communicated.
Along with the information architecture map, low resolution wireframes were created to organize the content for each page in more detail.
Given the discussions with the team, regarding color palette and their inspiration direction, high resolution wireframes were created. In parallel, the logo design exploration was taking place.
High Resolution Wireframes
After the low resolution wireframes were approved in regards to content, navigation and interactions. The high definition wireframes explored different visual elements that were presented to the foundation team to choose a direction to be used for the rest of the webpage.
The logo design was inspired in the foundation core values: always innovative, serve our community, and think entrepreneurially. The name included in the logo was yet to be defined. Below, some of the logos explored.
