Little Kidspace ®
COSI is a hands-on science center located in Columbus, Ohio. Little Kidspace® is an exhibition space for children 6 and under that promotes learning in a colorful and engaging atmosphere.
OBJECTIVE & CONSTRAINTS | To design and develop new exhibits to teach children about food through the farm to table concept. Additionally, for the same exhibition, to design a light and shadow space.

ROLE | Exhibit designer as part of the project team. The project team was composed of early childhood educators, project manager, designers and fabricators. Collaborated with another designer to develop concepts and supervised process to final product for the following exhibit components. Purchased props for the entire exhibit.

RESEARCH | Visited children’s museums around the country for observation and inspiration. Researched about early childhood interactive products and how this age group learns from educators and accredited books and websites.
PROCESS | Developed concepts, CAD models, created prototypes, finalized concepts, chose materials, colors and finish processes. All exhibits were built at COSI. Worked hand in hand with fabricators to ensure desired product was completed. Project duration: 1 year
