As a designer I am passionate about improving the human experience and how my work can have a meaningful impact by collaborating with experts from different fields to solve complex challenges in our society. I am specially interested in challenges related to education and healthcare.
In May 2017 I graduated with an M.F.A. in Design Research and Development from The Ohio State University, in addition to completing a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. In 2010 I received a B.S.D. in Industrial Design.
Graduate school allowed me to expand my knowledge in product development into the digital realm and specialize in user experience and interaction design. My graduate thesis explored how human-centered design practices and digital interactive technology can aid in the communication of health information—specifically in the context of medication compliance.
For the past three years I also worked as a Graduate Teaching Instructor at the Design Department at The Ohio State University. Prior to that I worked as an exhibit and experience designer for four years at an interactive science museum.
I am originally from Cali, Colombia and I enjoy traveling, cooking, running and riding my bicycle.
